Abstract: Extracellular monitoring of electrical activity from excitable cells such as cardiac muscle cells and rat aortic smooth muscles cells by nanowires sensor arrays promising applications such as high-throughput drug screening platform are frequently done. However, the process in which membrane bioelectrical signals are transduced into changes in nanowire conductance via the cell-nanowire interface is not well understood. The project is to develop models and algorithms to simulate such transduction
