Abstract: With the rising complexity of modern problems, multi-agent based modeling has become very popular over the recent years. Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) provide the essential tools for a realistic simulation to observe the behaviours of a traffic simulation with the various agents, environment, messaging and execution methods. Due to the rise in traffic volume recently, concerns over the efficiency of route planning and congestion prevention has been brought up. An approach to the traffic congestion problem is to observe and come up with a real-time navigation system which will be simulated by the individual agents. The solution of this project will prove beneficial to industries such as logistics or transportation. Although several researches have been done in this field, but as traffic problems are fast-evolutionary and highly interactive, only few practical projects have been implemented. This project will adopt the idea of MAS to provide realistic and adaptable traffic simulation program.
