Abstract: Nowadays, 3D technology has been being widely used for multi-group presentations as well as individual entertainment, including theatre shows and home video display. Therefore, there are great opportunities in the markets to grow. Moreover, Singapore Government is currently boosting the scientific teaching at its primary and secondary schools. Therefore, the project was proposed and developed to cooperate with the interactive digital teaching at these schools. In order to complete a functional and thorough 3D display system with a low cost, it requires hardware, software applications and animation production to work together with the LCD technology. Firstly, there are special requirements for the output for the PC. The computer being used for the 3D system should have a dual output graphical card in order to separate and project two different video images onto two LCD screens separately. On top of that, 3D media player software, which is able to play two videos simultaneously, is required for development due to the lack of such media player in the current market. Lastly, the video images are ideal to contain strong 3D effects and have specific angel difference between two of them. That requires professional animation production. During the implementation, the dual output graphical card was created through the circuit design. GUI programming with Qt was used to develop the software application because of its simplicity and wide support of the programming language. Finally, the animation products were created on Autodesk Maya software. Upon successful completion of the whole system, several experiments and surveys were done for 3D analysis and future improvement.
