Abstract: Micro/nano photonic emitters play key roles in modern photonic science and applications. Herein, we fabricated on-chip photonic microrings for multiple functions including anti-counterfeiting and microlasers. We demonstrated that randomly distributed multi-color microrings possess the physically unclonable characteristics, which show their potential in anti counterfeiting applications. Moreover, by employing optical resonance in the microrings, whispering gallery mode (WGM) lasing actions with multiple spectral bands were also achieved.
