Abstract: Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the effects of Tiger Balm Active Muscle Rub (TBAMR) on endurance performance and other physiological measures. Methods: 12 healthy adult males aged between 20-24 went through 3 rounds of testing under different conditions (control, TBAMR, placebo), They were required to cycle on an ergometer till exhaustion. The cycling resistance was increased every 3 minutes. Time to exhaustion (TTE), heart rate, RPE, and blood lactate were measured. Before each test, the subjects applied either a placebo cream or the TBAMR. Results: Results collected show no significant difference in endurance performance between the 3 conditions. Conclusion: TBAMR does not have any effect on endurance performance.
