Y. (2023). IOT - development of a home automation system 8. Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/171976 | Project: | SCSE22-0997 | Abstract: | Home security is of paramount importance for homeowners to stay safe in the comfort of their homes. With emerging technology revolving around the Internet of Things (IoT), home automation systems such assurveillance cameras, serve as security tools for homeowners to monitor and get notified of suspicious activity in their homes. With the new regulations by the Singapore Housing Development Board (HDB), homeowners can now place surveillance cameras facing outside of their homes if the device stays within the house and not pointing towards a neighbour’s door or window. This project centres around developing a comprehensive home automation system involving a mobile phone application, Google Home Smart display/speaker, low-cost Wi-Fi enabled microcontroller unit and sensors to ensure parcel and home security affordably. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/171976 | Schools: | School of Computer Science and Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
