Abstract: The asynchronous real-time automatic speech recognition (ASR) application provides audio and video transcription services. It is built on the PyQt library and relies on a locally started ASR gateway. This thesis will focus on documenting and conducting the improvement of the application and addition of new natural language processing functionalities. Finally, this thesis will cover the vital maintenance tasks, such as bug fixes, that were necessary during this project.
