Abstract: Earth’s temperature has been on the rise over the years and health professionals call for climate change to be recognised as an health emergency. This study attempts to find the associations between high temperatures and health in India. The impact of rise in temperature has been studied on infectious and non-infectious diseases such as Dengue, Malaria, Typhoid, Diarrhoea, Diabetes, and Hypertension. Other health indictors such as Still Births, Hypertension in pregnant women, Obstetric Complications and Infant Deaths within 4 weeks were also analysed. These groups of diseases and health indicators revealed positive and significant associations between rise in temperature and number of cases detected. Keywords: Temperature, Health, India
