Project: C139
Abstract: This project aims to develop a wireless interface for an autonomous unmanned surface vehicle (USV) to participate in the Maritime RobotX Challenge. This report details the proposed hardware and software solutions, including detailed network layout and code flows for the following subsystems of the wireless interface: the Ship-to-Ground Wireless Interface, the Heartbeat Signal System, and the Emergency Stop System. This report will also cover the integration of all 3 subsystems into a graphical user interface. The final section of this report will cover the development of the systems and recommendations for future works to improve the design of the USV.
