Abstract: There are many positive and negative views regarding people with disabilities. In this paper, I will defend the social construct view of disability by finding positive value in disability. In this paper, I will argue that the social construct argument is sound and can be defended against objections. I will make my argumentative claim, one which argues that the concept of ‘disability’ is purely a social construct that can be negative or positive in how society values people with disability.
