Abstract: As the ageing population grows, there is a growing need for innovative approaches to promote cognitive well-being among the elderly. Bolstering cognitive abilities is pivotal for sustaining mental acuity, staving off cognitive decline, and nurturing overall mental health. Traditional cognitive training methods can feel burdensome or be inaccessible for many seniors. This project addresses this challenge by focusing on designing an engaging and personalized mobile game specifically tailored to the unique needs and preferences of the elderly. Departing from genering exercises found in existing games, this project incorporates memory challenges related to personal anecdotes, creating an experience that is not only effective but also enjoyable and relevant. By making cognitive enhancement accessible and fun, the game aims to become a valuable tool for the elderly, with promising results from preliminary testing. This innovative fusion of game design and cognitive health holds significant potential for enhancing the well-being of the ageing population, making strides toward a future where cognitive wellness is both enjoyable and accessible for seniors in community centres, healthcares and homes.
