S. H. (2024). Design and development of a puzzle platformer game (C). Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/176877 | Project: | A2052-231 | Abstract: | The process of game development is often changing and evolving as technology improves. While current resources and literature provide tutorials and guidelines for aspiring game developers to jumpstart their projects, there lack of resources that provide sufficient information on the area of 2.5D game development. Hence, this project explores the process and challenges faced during development. This paper compares the different 3D modelling software available and documents the decision-making process of which tool to use for this project. This paper also documents the process of developing a 2.5D platformer game in the areas of aesthetics and game mechanics. Ultimately, this paper aims to contribute to the evolution of interactive entertainment by demystifying the unique challenges and opportunities presented by 2.5D platform games. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/176877 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
