Abstract: The goal of this final year project is to decrease the amount of harmonic current that is supplied into the AC supply to achieve a good power quality at the AC mains by controlling the boost rectifier with power factor correction. For this purpose, a high DC (Direct Current) voltage gain quadratic boost converter is used. To regulate the boost converter, an adaptive sliding mode controller is implemented.
