Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/176973 | Project: | A3087-231 | Abstract: | Research on Indoor Positioning System (IPS) and DWM1001 capabilities and finding ways to enhance warehouse IPS to track assets and try to apply a tag as an anchor to reduce the number of anchors needed in the environment. Being able to track the assets and visualise where are the asset moving in real time to reduce the amount of accident in warehouse and reduce the amount of time find to find assets or good in the warehouse. Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) IPS have been on the rise is due to it wide bandwidth causing it to be precise as it is able to transmit signals with extremely short pulses. Using Decawave Modules to aid in this study, they will be places around in a indoor environment to see its precision and by adding in Kalman Filter increasing the precision of the tag to as close as possible to the actual movement of the tag. In this paper, we study how UWB IPS works, how DWM1001 works and what are the ways I can use it to achieve what I want in this study. Adding in filters to reduce the noise received to have a more exact recording of the movement and finally testing weather having a Tag-to-Anchor set up is possible and how accurate the reading is and what are some of the issues that might surface. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/176973 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
