Abstract: “Digital Soul & Data Metamorphosis” is an immersive and experimental new media art that documents the artist’s self-experiences, beliefs, and ideologies, and examines the potential for human soul immortalisation and extension within the digital realm in the context of evolving artificial intelligence. In the digital realm of “Digital Soul & Data Metamorphosis”, information is documented in forms of data and further transformed into narratives using artificial intelligence. The project raises the speculative hypothesis that the human soul, once limited to the physical realm, possesses the potential to not only thrive but also be measured, stored, generativity developed and immortalised in the virtual realm with the development of artificial intelligence and data processing. Investigating the intersection of humanity and digital technology, this inquiry challenges conventional notions of existence and prompts a profound revaluation of the soul's transcendence into the digital domain. By examining the convergence of humanity and digital technology, "Digital Soul & Data Metamorphosis" provokes a profound reconsideration of the soul's capacity to transcend into the digital domain in the age of AI. Through this exploration, the project seeks to engage with tangible and virtual boundaries.
