dc.description.abstract | The progress of the project in designing a Pulse-Width Modulated (PWM) Inverter is summarized in this report. The main objective of this project is mainly focusing on designing a Sinusoidal Pulse-Width Modulated (SPWM) Voltage Source Inverter. This report presents a Sinusoidal Pulse-width Modulated Inverter converting DC voltage Source to AC voltage output. The inverter also has the ability to control the frequency and amplitude of the output voltage. Therefore, with these capabilities, this system is widely used for both home and industries application. The report also discuss about the work progresses for the final year project. Firstly, the literature reviews give an overview of inverter and also general concepts together with working principles of Sinusoidal Pulse-width Modulated Inverter. Secondly, the report also examines the simulation results obtain from simulating the various topologies configuration of Sinusoidal Pulse-width Modulated Inverter. Closely follow by some presenting various results from the simulation which enhances understanding about the inverter and also to anticipate some expectation and phenomenon from experimenting with hardware implementation. Besides that, simulation is also used to design the control circuits that generate Sinusoidal Pulse-width Modulated switching signal. Thirdly, by conferring through hardware implementation and application, the experiment results are tabulated for future study and analysis. By comparing these results with the result obtained from simulation, there are some phenomenon and non-ideal scenarios occurred which was neglected during simulation. Lastly, the report will end by concluding the final year project in brief together with suggestion of any possibilities for future works and improvement. | en_US |
