Authors: Lim, Jia Jin.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Antennas, wave guides, microwaves, radar, radio
Issue Date: 2009
Abstract: This report accounts the author’s experience in completing his Final Year Project (FYP); studying the radiation emitted from various cables through a series of simulations. The report begins with the basic introduction of the project and overview of EMC. It shares the process of the project the author has done using High Frequency Structure Simulation (HFSS). The report includes a short introduction on the HFSS program, which was used extensively to conduct several radiation simulations to achieve an EMC guideline. This guideline aids engineers in planning product designs. In addition, this project also includes basic transmission tests and results. Lastly, this report sums up the valuable experience and lessons the author has achieved during this period, and thus concluding his FYP.
