dc.description.abstractThe ultimate goal of this project is to create a web application design framework called iSEARCH to help to formulate a smarter search engine with search algorithm developed. The implementation and discussion on the search theory including ranking, indexing and clustering with the existing iSEARCH framework are conducted. Problems and possible solutions are exploited. A more systematic design approach rather than simple JSP files is introduced. The research on current Web application design tools shows Apache Struts is one of the suitable frameworks for the search engine design and testing. In detailed research on Apache Struts is conducted with examples and a basic design of new iSEARCH framework is implemented using Google like html interface.en_US
