Abstract: Since coming to power in 2012, Chinese President Xi Jinping has thoroughly reformed the People’s Liberation Army. His intention was to reduce corruption and centralise control. The result of his reforms is that the command and control structure of the Chinese military is now modelled closely after that of the United States.
