High-speed photography is really challenging for photographers who want to capture quick and fleeting moments, like a balloon popping. These events happen so fast that getting the perfect shot requires precise timing and a lot of patience. With traditional methods, photographers might need to take thousands of pictures just to catch that one ideal moment, which can be exhausting and time consuming. For my Final Year Project (FYP), I’m working on two separate but related projects to make highspeed photography easier. Xiao Round Display and enhancing the SnapBuddyLite Android application with new sensors and actuators. The first objective of my project is to introduce how to create Xiao Round Display. It is a userfriendly interface that helps photographers manage their high-speed photography sessions more effectively. With the Seeeduino Xiao Series microcontroller RP2040 attached to Round Display for Xiao, users will have their settings changed faster and be able to catch these fast-moving moments with more accuracy and less fuss. The second objective concerns the enhancement of the SnapBuddyLite application. SnapBuddyLite automatically triggers a camera and flash activation at the right time upon the detection of certain events by sensors, all for the convenience of photographers. Through the testing and integration of such new components, I hope to extend the type of scenes and actions which SnapBuddyLite can shoot and speed up the process with increased reliability. Both parts of my project put together a better high-speed photography system, using hardware and software. The Xiao Round Display makes for easy setting control, while the upgraded SnapBuddyLite app works with new sensors and actuators to make sure everything is perfectly timed. In general, the objective of this project is to make high-speed photography more accessible and less cumbersome.en_US
