Abstract: The increased usage of air conditioner systems has led to a global rise in energy consumption, which contributes more to greenhouse gas emissions. Even though traditional air conditioner systems have high electrical energy efficiency, they are one of the highest energy-consuming appliances. Additionally, they need harmful refrigerants that can impact negatively the environment. In this final year project, we will examine alternative eco-friendly cooling technologies, namely Thermoelectric Coolers (TECs). This study aims to examine how TECs can be utilized as a cooler. One of the key factors that affect the performance of TECs is the rate of heat dissipation from the hot side of the TECs. In this project, we proposed and constructed a miniaturized cooling tower intended to be used for TEC heat dissipation. Several experiments were conducted to investigate the factors that affect the performance of the miniaturized cooling tower and optimize its cooling efficiency.
