Readability of chairman's statements in annual reports of companies listed on the Singapore Exchange.

Abstract

This dissertation explores the readability level of the chairman’s statement in 120 selected annual reports. It investigates whether the corporate attributes have any relations with the readability level and makes comparison between the readability of the chairman’s statement and that of a Business Times newspaper article.
