Abstract: Microgrid structure is an integrated energy system consists of a low-voltage distribution network with distributed energy resources, power electronic converters, storage devices and loads, operated either connected to the grid or islanded. Study of microgrid is a complex study, involving many dimensions: hardware, structure, configurations, performance and reliability, control strategies, etc. The aim of this report is to provide models and simulations of a microgrid structure, including its components that are important for development of a microgrid system. Models of distributed energy resources: photovoltaic array, fuel cell, and storage device such as battery and their integration into the microgrid structure are addressed in this project. Other than that, performance and reliability, control strategies are not part of this report.
