AI in chatbots is no exception with modern chatbots being able to hold human-like conversations. This project aims to explore the use of the Large Language Model (LLM) to develop a learning companion chatbot for students. The key idea of this project is to change how traditional learning takes place. Having a learning companion chatbot for students will make learning more accessible. This provides an alternative solution to receive a personalised and interactive learning format. Students from higher education can use the platform to explore topics of interest to them. Learning takes place using a Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) framework, which promotes active participation and sustained motivation.
