J. T. (2025). On-the-job training in the Metaverse workspace. Final Year Project (FYP), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/183830 | Abstract: | This project focuses on developing a metaverse application that allows users to perform work projects with Virtual Reality (VR). The environment, developed with the Unity platform, is modelled after a computer laboratory and utilises networking such that users can communicate and collaborate with each other in real time. It includes a chatbot, interactive whiteboards, and simulated equipment for users to carry out experiments with a Raspberry Pi board. This project aims to enable users to carry out work experiments in a riskless but realistic environment, training themselves before working on projects in the real world. Furthermore, the application aims to remove physical limitations from the workspace by allowing users to remotely collaborate from any location. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/183830 | Schools: | College of Computing and Data Science | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
