Abstract: This Final Year Project focuses on the feasibility of Peer-to-Peer federated learning in the context of Android mobile applications. It builds upon the development of an existing Android application started by a previous student, and augments the application with features that enable it to be more suitable for real-world usage. This paper aims to examine the practicality of such an application primarily through the lens of the Android operating system and the host device. Experiments were conducted to determine the stress that the application places on host devices. This report will detail the software development life cycle conducted by the student from 18 August 2024 to 24 March 2025.
