Abstract: This project addresses the critical parking space shortage in Singapore's residential condominiums by developing an integrated parking management solution that embraces sharing economy principles. With Singapore's urbanisation and the Land Transport Authority's Range-based Parking Provision Standards reducing available parking, residents face significant challenges. The proposed system enables condominium residents to rent out underutilised parking spaces to neighbours requiring additional parking, optimizing resource utilisation. The solution consists of a NestJS backend, PostgreSQL, Redis and AWS S3 storage solutions, a Next.js web application for condominium management with parking lot design capabilities, and a React Native (Expo) mobile application for residents to rent and reserve spaces. This comprehensive platform includes features such as user authentication, subscription management, pricing mechanisms, in-app chat, incident reporting, bookings system and simplified payment processing. By facilitating the efficient sharing of existing parking resources, this solution aims to alleviate parking frustrations while maximising the utility of available spaces in Singapore's space-constrained urban environment.
