However, older adults may feel a sense of frustration from exergames due to difficulty-related anxiety or boredom. In this work, we suggest that dynamic difficulty adjustment can be implemented to improve older adults’ player experience. To achieve this goal, we design a large language model-based dynamic difficulty adjustment algorithm. A pilot study involving 12 participants from all age groups show a high self-reported engagement score, which indicates that this approach toward dynamic difficulty adjustment can improve the older adults’ player experience. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/184128 | Schools: | College of Computing and Data Science | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
