Abstract

This Final Year Project presents the design and development of an Event Calendar Builder, a comprehensive system that enables the seamless integration of event notifications into calendar platforms such as Google Calendar and Microsoft Exchange Calendar. The application, available as both a web-based platform and an android application, utilizes text mining, natural language processing (NLP), and advanced machine learning techniques to automatically extract, process, and register events from mobile phone notifications and from emails. The system addresses the challenge of converting unstructured notification data into structured calendar entries, offering a user-friendly interface for event customization and management. By leveraging notification content from smartphones and desktops, the Event Calendar Builder enhances productivity and streamlines personal and professional scheduling. Key functionalities include real-time event extraction, context-aware event categorization, and automated syncing with user calendars. The project focuses on achieving high accuracy in event parsing while maintaining system efficiency and scalability. The research and development process incorporated rigorous testing, resulting in a robust and adaptable application that caters to the dynamic needs of modern users. This work not only demonstrates the practical application of cuttingedge NLP techniques in calendar management but also lays the foundation for future advancements in automated personal assistance systems.
