Title: | Switchgear asset health modeling and assessment | Authors: | Yue, Jingxu | Keywords: | Engineering | Issue Date: | 2025 | Publisher: | Nanyang Technological University | Source: | Yue, J. (2025). Switchgear asset health modeling and assessment. Master's thesis, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. https://hdl.handle.net/10356/184366 | Project: | ISM-DISS-04297 | Abstract: | In recent years, with the rapid development of power systems, switchgear, particularly gas-insulated switchgear, has been acting as the core component of power systems. Therefore, it is essential to build a comprehensive and effective model that can quantitatively assess the asset health condition of switchgear. This dissertation will initially evaluate the reliability of switchgear using two-parameters Weibull analysis, based on failure data and condition data collected from practical industrial operations. Subsequently, a weighted scoring model for the Asset Health Index will be developed. Then, the AHI will be integrated into the Weibull analysis to derive a more accurate reliability assessment model. Finally, the dissertation will review the entire process of the whole project, also discuss any potential improvement as well as future work for the project. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/10356/184366 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
