The system was initially digitized through a previous iteration using NFC technology to streamline the student check-in process. However, as a proof-of-concept, the initial iteration was not built with scalability in mind, resulting in issues with scalability, maintainability, and performance under real-world conditions. To address these challenges, this iteration adopts a modular architecture with clearly decoupled backend and frontend components. The backend employs technologies designed for scalability and performance, while the frontend prioritizes maintainability and a superior user experience. The system also incorporates robust security practices such as secure authentication, comprehensive audit logging, and systematic database backups.
