dc.description.abstractWith increasing usage and distribution of digital data by the day, digital watermarking techniques are invented and implemented regularly, to safeguard the authenticity and security of the data. Purposes like copyright protection, data authentication, data hiding, indexing, preventing of unrestricted duplication and dissemination of copyright material continually require enhanced and robust watermarking techniques. Along with image, video and audio, formatted text documents, printed in numerous fonts and styles are extensively used throughout all spectrums of industry and academia. This dissertation work addresses issues to effectively enhance, an existing watermarking technique for binary formatted text documents, for the purpose of secure data authentication.en_US
