Abstract: In real-time online multiplayer games, each player’s actions will immediately and continuously influence and affect the actions of others. But it will take some time for the data to transmit over the internet. This network latency will cause players to have a bad gameplay experience. The purpose of this project is to find out ways to reduce the impact of network delay. Techniques that predecessors have invented out were studied. Future research is recommended to be on utilizing the computing capability of local machines to reduce the impact of network delay.
