Abstract: Over the years, the Finite element method (FEM) and Boundary element method has proven to be and effective way in solving for engineering problems. Much debate has also been the talk of both the method’s advantages and disadvantages. Although FEM has been the earlier method of the latter and have been used extensively for many engineering related problems, the introduction of the Boundary Element Method has helped many engineers and students tremendously. It has been seen to definitely more advantageous when handling more complex engineering problems.
