Abstract: One of the objectives of urban stormwater management is to ensure the systematic control of urban developments by means of integrated watershed-wide flood-control plans. Conceptually, the implementation of the plans is possible. However, there are a number of difficulties that need to be overcome before it can be implemented in practice. They are: (a) The problem in the compilation and updating of the hydraulic and landuse information in urbanizing watersheds for use in the preparation of the input data files for flood simulation programs.
