Title: Physico-chemical characteristics of aquatic sediments and their nutrient flux in two tropical reservoirs
Authors: Ting, Ding Sie.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Environmental engineering::Environmental protection
Issue Date: 1996
Abstract: The role of an aquatic sediment as a source of nutrients contributing to eutrophication problems has drawn great attention. However, little work has been done and reported on tropical waterbodies. The objectives of this research are to study the physico-chemical characteristics of overlying waters and aquatic sediments in two existing reservoirs in the tropical environment of Singapore and to study the nutrient flux of aquatic sediments under controlled aerobic, anoxic and varying pH conditions.
