Planning, design and construction practice on port and marine structures in Singapore

Abstract

This thesis aims at providing an insight on some aspects of the practices adopted in planning, design and construction of seaports in Singapore. In planning, a berthing capacity study was carried out to verify the need for Jurong Port expansion. The configuration of the physical port layout only realised after taken the operational constraints and requirement into consideration and from the results of hydraulic model study.
