Abstract: The economic expansion in the Asia Pacific Region has attracted many forms of business cooperation amongst which Joint Ventures (JV) is one of the commonly adopted form of co-operation in the construction industry. The success of joint ventures is dependent on many factors. This thesis identifies those factors that are critical to the successful operation of joint ventures; the risks involved and the management's respond to these exposures.
