Risk management in construction joint ventures

Abstract

The economic expansion in the Asia Pacific Region has attracted many forms of business cooperation amongst which Joint Ventures (JV) is one of the commonly adopted form of co-operation in the construction industry. The success of joint ventures is dependent on many factors. This thesis identifies those factors that are critical to the successful operation of joint ventures; the risks involved and the management's respond to these exposures.
