Abstract: Since opening its doors to foreign investments in the mid 1980s, Vietnam has attracted swarms of eager potential investors and Singapore developers and contractors are also eager to have a share in the growing market. In their eagerness and keen interest to penetrate the Vietnam market, it is vital to know the correct strategy to work in Vietnam. Therefore, this study investigates the Vietnam market and attempts to tap the general opinion of professionals, developers and contractors who have experience in the Vietnam market. The methodologies adopted are postal survey of professionals, mainly quantity surveyors, developers and general building contractors, together with unstructured interviews with several businessmen and several practitioners in the industry.
