Issue Date: 1996
Abstract: Signals arising from practical or natural systems are often non-stationary. There are many methods to analyse non-stationary signals. Time-frequency analysis is one of the most popular techniques used for its analysis in recent years. The instantaneous frequency (IF) of a signal is an important concept in time-frequency analysis and often used as an aid to time-frequency analysis of non-stationary signals.
