Title: | An efficient multirate FDM demultiplexer | Authors: | Xiang, Weiguan | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Electronic systems | Issue Date: | 1996 | Abstract: | New types of communication satellites will be demanded by future traffic requirements in mobile and small fixed-station business systems which are characterised by a large number of small capacity, multi-service users and small earth stations. One approach to providing these services with sufficiently cost-effectiveness is using FDMA/SCPC (frequency division multiple access/single carrier per channel) in the uplink and TDM (time division multiplexing) in the downlink. To interface FDMA in the uplink and TDM in the downlink, a multicarrier demodulator (MCD) is required on-board the satellite. The operation of the on-board MCD is the separation of each individual channel and subsequent demodulation, i.e., the demultiplexing and demodulation. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/19721 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
