Title: Performance evaluation of Trellis-Coded Modulation (TCM) codes for fading mobile channels
Authors: Yong, Kok Jung.

Issue Date: 1995
Abstract: Trellis-Coded Modulation (TCM) has been applied successfully as a combined coding and modulation technique for digital transimission over band-limited channels. The primary advantage of TCM over modulation schemes employing traditional error-correction coding is the ability to achieve increased power efficiency without the customary expansion of bandwidth introduced by the coding process. As mobile communications gain popularity, applications of TCM code structures are being investigated for fading mobile channels.
