Title: An investigation of delamination buckling in stitched laminate composites
Authors: Soh, Kwok Chye.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering::Mechanics and dynamics
Issue Date: 1996
Abstract: This dissertation study the effects on the buckling strength of the delaminated laminates due to through the thickness stitching with two different types of aramid threads, Kevlar and Twaron. The effect of delamination was investigated by embedding Teflon sheets, and the buckling loads of the laminates were computed from Southwell Plot, Vertical Displacement Plot, Membrane Strain Plot, Bending Strain Plot and Bending Strain Southwell Plot methods.
