Title: Ultrasonic testing and evaluation of non-metallic composites
Authors: Tan, Kha Sheng.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Materials::Testing of materials
Issue Date: 1996
Abstract: This thesis describes the applications of ultrasonic techniques as a non-destructive testing (NDT) and evaluation tool for the characterization of ceramic materials and the interfaces between dissimilar materials. Three non-metallic materials systems have been studied. These are unidirectional carbon fibre laminate plate, the bonding of ceramic tile to a substrate and the alumina-zirconia system.
