Abstract: In order to produce high quality products from multistage production processes, the quality characteristics of the products must not only meet stipulated target values but also meet them consistently with as little variations as possible. Various classical statistical techniques and recent experimental design approaches used in analyzing experimental data to achieve the above objectives are discussed.
