Title: | Investigation of flow in an axially rotating flow field | Authors: | Tang, Sui Ping. | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering::Fluid mechanics | Issue Date: | 1997 | Abstract: | The objective of this project is to investigate both experimentally and numerically the flow in an axial fan. The Navier-Stokes equations within a rotating frame are derived based on vorticity-stream function formulation. To represent the effects of turbulence, the k-s model combined with the wall function method is used. A computer code based on finite element method is developed to solve the governing equations. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/19964 | Schools: | School of Mechanical and Production Engineering | Rights: | NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
