Title: Investigation of flow in an axially rotating flow field
Authors: Tang, Sui Ping.
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering::Fluid mechanics
Issue Date: 1997
Abstract: The objective of this project is to investigate both experimentally and numerically the flow in an axial fan. The Navier-Stokes equations within a rotating frame are derived based on vorticity-stream function formulation. To represent the effects of turbulence, the k-s model combined with the wall function method is used. A computer code based on finite element method is developed to solve the governing equations.
