Abstract: To develop a set of performance criteria to be used as a yardstick for comparing different geometric (solid) modellers. This thesis looks into the basic operation efficiency of a solid modeller and maps that into the users point of view; instead of that from the developer. The solid modeller chosen is Hewlett Packard PE/SolidDesigner which uses ACIS kernel system from Spatial Technology.
