Abstract: ISO9000 standards and the registration process have become buzz words since the early 1990s both worldwide as well as in Singapore In some quarters ISO9000 certification is deemed as a quality license for doing business worldwide, while others look on it as another attempt to standardise a critical element in a quality system which has somehow or other started to lose it original intent.
