Abstract: In the last few years, there has been a sudden surge of interest in the financial markets of South-East Asia. This is attributable to the strong economic growth of the so called 'emerging markets' and the vast investment opportunities that come with it. With the huge capital inflows into this region, there is a strong need for effective risk management strategies.
