Abstract: The recent interests in franchising, as well as the push by the Singapore Government for local companies to regionalise their business, prompts this applied research paper (ARP) along the theme of international franchising. The objective of this ARP is to raise the awareness and understanding of franchising in the local business community so that local companies may consider franchising as a means of regional business expansion. Our ARP aims to present a cross-border franchising framework (approach) for Singapore companies.
